National Circular Economy Communications & Public Engagement

About this Project

The Rediscovery Centre has secured multi-annual funding from the Irish Government to spearhead a project that will develop communication initiatives aimed at facilitating Ireland's transition to a circular economy.
By establishing a national low-carbon circular economy website, launching behaviour change campaigns, conducting market research and supporting circular activity in communities across Ireland, this work will ensure that Ireland’s citizens are ready for the circular transition.

Recognizing the need to grow awareness of circular living across Irish society, the Rediscovery Centre was initially funded by the Irish Government to explore creating a National Circular Economy Website. Based on extensive research and consultation, our findings illustrate that such a project must go beyond developing a website alone. A whole suite of communication activities is needed that can accelerate positive behavior change, boost awareness, expand knowledge, and drive public engagement in the circular economy.

To do this work, the Rediscovery Centre will work with the best of the best. Tender documentation will be published shortly that will be available for consideration and submission.

"Our vision is clear: we want Ireland to be a nation that is actively engaged, well-informed, and fully enabled to make the transition to a circular economy."
